Jackson's Landing is a factory outlet centre offering substantial savings over that of high street store prices. The whole marina complex offers shoppers a wide variety of clothing, office, electrical and sports shopping. Restaurant from names such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, Burger King and Henry's Fish and Chip Restaurant are all within walking distance of the Marina.

Further a field, 10 miles South is the large town of Mihttp://newcastlenightlifeonline.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/quayatnight.jpgddlesbrough offering even more shopping and nightlife. To the North is the City of Sunderland and Newcastle. Newcastle is regarded as one of the best cities in the U.K. for its nightlife and shopping and even more so for its architecture.

If you do go north, make sure you visit the Metro Centre in Gateshead, one of the largest shopping centres in Europe. On route stop off to admire the world famous Angel of the North statue (manufactured in Hartlepool!).

Hartlepool is also within driving distance of the North Yorkshire Moors, Durham City, Northumberland and the Pennines.
